During the warmest times of the year, we stop and give thanks for the gift of Christmas and the Christ-child.
In worship, we sing Christmas carols, Pastor reads the Nativity story and preach on the Christmas miracle.
Come and relive the gift of the Newborn King.
Our next Sound Bath will be August 2nd at 4pm at Shade Beach. Join us for this amazing time of renewal when we let the sounds of the sound bowls wash over us as it cleanse our souls and renew us from within. Bring a lawn chair, or a towel to sit or lie on.
It lasts about 45 minutes. Our own Dr. Flaherty leads us in this time of renewal.
Messiah Lutheran Church will join other Lutheran congregations in a joint worship at the Peninsula at 1oam on August 9. The clergy of the congregations will lead in worship and the lay leaders will lead in different aspects of the services.
Our congregation will enjoy a time of fellowship at our annual church picnic at 1pm at Hinkler Park. Join us if you are a member or a neighbor or friend.
For our members, there is a sign up sheet in the front of the church to help us with your goodies.

Each year, we partner with Wesley Methodist Church to host a Back-to-School Bash for our community.
Young students receive new backpacks filled with school supplies, snacks, and other useful items.
The evening also features family-friendly activities, a dunk tank, and plenty of food. Join us for the fun - or lend a hand as a volunteer!
The event runs from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wesley Methodist this year.
As our children return to school during the week of August 23, join us in blessing them, their teachers, and their backpacks as they begin another year of learning, growing, and making new friends.
The Blessing of the Backpacks will take place during The Gathering, our contemporary worship service, at 11:00 a.m.

Join us for our annual Rally Sunday on September 13, 2026, in the Fellowship Hall! The Children, Youth, and Family Team, along with Pastor Tom, will introduce the new programming year and share exciting opportunities for ministry, learning, and fellowship.
The fun begins at 9:45 a.m.—and yes, there will be coffee and donuts!
