Our Values

What we value and what shapes our work:

Meaningful Learning

At Messiah, learning is about more than information—it’s about transformation. Through Bible studies, small groups, and shared conversation, we engage Scripture, ask honest questions, and connect faith to everyday life. Whether you are new to faith or have been on the journey for years, there is space here to grow, reflect, and be formed in community.

Compassionate Service

Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve (Matthew 20:28), and we take that calling seriously. At Messiah, we don’t wait for others to act—we step in, especially where people are overlooked or systems fall short. Our faith moves us beyond words into action. Grateful for the gifts God has given us, we are committed to showing up, standing alongside our neighbors, and working for real change in our community.

Wholehearted Worship

Worship is at the heart of our life together at Messiah. It is where we gather to praise God, be renewed by grace, and be sent out to live our faith in the world. Through music, prayer, and the sharing of God’s Word, we are drawn together as a community and equipped to carry Christ’s love into our daily lives.

Christ-centered Relationships

Because God has reconciled us through Jesus Christ, we choose reconciliation with one another—letting go of grudges and extending grace. We are all works in progress, shaped over time through our relationship with God and through one another. At Messiah, we value relationships more than being right. We show up with honesty, listen with humility, and remain open to growth. Rooted in the gifts God has given us, we seek to use them in ways that strengthen and build up our community.

Transformational Generosity

At Messiah, generosity is more than giving—it is a response to God’s grace at work in our lives. We recognize that all we have is a gift, and we are called to share those gifts in ways that serve others and build up our community. Transformational generosity invites us to give of our time, talents, and resources with open hands and faithful hearts. In doing so, we participate in God’s work of healing and renewal—and find that we ourselves are changed along the way.
